Coop Business :: Coop News

While the long ramblings and musings of the Co-op Newsletter are pleasant enough, I just don't have time to read through it all searching for what might be considered "Co-op News". This is not meant to be harsh or critical, only practical. Is there some way we can get "Just the Facts, Ma'am" type of Co-op News somewhere, either via the newsletter or the webpage, for those of us with too much to read but wanting to keep up on Co-op essetials --- not that all those informative ramblings aren't essential, but you know what i mean... thanks.

It's your co-op; can you produce the item you're looking for and post it? Participation is the key--if you want something done, do it yourself!

In my case, I write the weekly newsletter, having been told people don't want more than one item in their email per week. I figure since the headings are in caps they can be scanned easily and folks can skip items about food--what's in the store, where it comes from, its condition and value, and they can skip items about who does what at the co-op. That way they can choose items like "BOARD NEWS" or "VOTE" "NEW PAYMENT SYSTEM" or "VOLUNTEER."

Doesn't that work?

Just wanted to say how much I enjoy taking a few minutes to read what Eleanor has to say each week. I skim it pretty fast and can jump around if looking for something special like when and where to vote.... on our new move to the Bakery.
I also wanted to say that for those who love to read and learn lots more, there is a wonderful book (Right next to that green volunteer notebook that I know you have been looking for) full of wonderful articles on where your food comes from. There might be some surprises in there. Take a look when next you visit your co-op,. Linda
