Board Meeting 7/7/10
Minutes
Present: Elise Jensen, Steffi Werner, Anna Spears, Arvid Lindstrum, Maureen Marinkovich, Eleanor Hartmann
Absent: Chris Small, Susan Williamson
Guests: Laura Lee Roberts, Sharon Crozier
The minutes of the June Board meeting were read and approved. The Mission statement was read.
Anna reported that a new system of receipt tallying was created.
Elise reported on the financial situation.
There was a review of the Membership Meeting. We had 32 memberships voting. We needed 28 for a quorum.
There was a discussion of the hiring process for the Volunteer Coordinator and a job description.
Arvid, Maureen and Anna will serve on the hiring committee and will begin work immediately with the goal of reporting back to the Board by the August meeting.
The Board decided that all new or renewing memberships paying the $35 annual fee will be honored until 10/1/2011 from this date forward.
There was a discussion on the proposal of creating a Membership Coordinator position. It was decided that such a position was not needed at this point.
